We are currently using the ZAP Accounting Software Bookkeeping Templates for education.
For now we are referring to that web page for the template and support information. With a coach or guide you can be up and running with the system with some feeling of control withing minutes. If your personal needs are simple in under an hour you could be setup and somewhat comfortable but most would need help to do it that quick. You can become proficient with it in hours if you were to practice with a guide.

ZAP Accounting Software offers a robust Cloud Spreadsheet based Bookkeeping Template that is a first of its kind. Prior to that Software Offering nobody had produced a full and proper database driven Bookkeeping Solution in a Spreadsheet.
The beauty with that Software Template is that a novice can actually see all the data in the system and how the data is handled to produce the reports and a Balance Sheet. That is like looking inside a motor to understand how it works, and while some may feel that is more than they wanted or needed, when you see how it works and how "relatively simple" the system is, it helps bring into question accounting irregularities with companies, states and the federal government which are impossible to understand, if you know hw a proper Bookkeeping system was supposed to work.
